At Lela Outdoors we’re passionate about nature and sports. Either in the Ethiopian highlands or the famous Dolomite mountains abroad, we all grew up in rural areas and the mountain. Starting from a young age practising sports has been part of our daily life, and the great nature around us pulled us outdoors. As tourism professionals we also excel in customer service and clients’ satisfaction.
We are also passionate about creating high-quality gear and apparel designed to enhance your outdoor experiences. Whether you’re exploring rugged trails or relaxing by the campfire, our products combine durability, comfort, and style to keep you ready for every adventure.
Tesfaye Sisay
Co-founder, manager & guide
Tesfaye has many years of experience leading tours and outdoor trips in Ethiopia. He’s very sociable, loves good company and when travelling he enjoys immersive cultural experiences for him and his travel companions. He is a responsible father of two children.
Marco Degasper
Co-founder & tourism expert
Born and raised in the Italian Alps, he’s been practicing his whole life winter and summer sports, from skiing to climbing, running to biking. His passion for the outdoors brought him from the Italian Dolomites to different countries worldwide, finally settling in Ethiopia.
Milen Mihertabe
Co-founder & tour guide
Milen has 10+ years of experience guiding hiking tours across Ethiopia. Her expertise in community-based tourism is invaluable. As a hiking guide she knows exactly what is needed in the Ethiopian mountains and forests. Milan is passionate about sustainability.
Elyas Tarekegn
Co-founder & tour guide
With a background in tourism management, Elyas has been travelling and even living in different places and regions in Ethiopia and abroad Currently he’s on a 2 year’s assignment in Germany. He’s skilled in customer service and a real problem-solver.
Betelehem Shiferaw
Co-founder & Designer
Betty’s passion is art and design. In her free time she enjoys experimenting with new designs and colours. As mother of two kids she also loves to bring them outdoors on the weekends and wants to make sure that they are well equipped and prepared in all seasons.
